Cityside to Seaside

One of our favorite things about the next three months? Summer Fridays, of course! You know, those half-days at work which roll straight into a weekend at the beach of your choosing. And no matter if you're Hampton’s bound, or driving south along the PCH, the predicament is the same everywhere—finding an outfit to take you straight from cubicle to coastline. Around our office, we firmly believe in a more relaxed dress code, but still, wearing our new swimsuit and flip-flops is not exactly appropriate for the workday.
Luckily, California-based boutique, the lady & the sailor is the answer to all of our ‘what to wear’ woes.
Brittany Correy founded the lady & the sailor, as well as the clothing line under the same moniker, with the belief that good basics are the foundation to creating beautifully uncomplicated style. Focusing on simple but necessary luxuries, the lady & the sailor offers everything our wardrobe needs for those weekend getaways.
Whatever your style, we made it our mission to find our favorite pieces from the lady & the sailor that will take you seamlessly from marketing meeting to seaside cocktails. Just throw on a matching set from Dodo Bar Or, set up your ‘out of office’ and grab a glass of rosé at your favorite waterfront hot-spot to catch the sunset. Or if an ocean barbecue is your first stop post-work, opt for white jeans or a denim jacket from GRLFRND with a pair of Ball Pagès espadrilles.
Whether you're in the market for that must-have straw bag or the perfect breezy dress, look no further than our 'weekend getaway' picks below...
