Put a Lid On It

There are probably two regrets that every woman harbors about her youth: obviously
the first is failing to become a world famous ballerina, while the second is simply
neglecting to apply adequate sunscreen. Of course, it’s never too late to pick up some
new hobbies, but you may have missed the boat on your ballet career (although tulle
and ankle-wrap flats are trending this season, so at least you can look the part!).

Still, everyone knows there’s no such thing as “too late” for sunscreen, and as sunny weather
approaches we feel it bears repeating that a good SPF is non-negotiable. The morning
ritual of slathering your face and décolletage with pre-makeup sunscreen is imperative
(extra credit for using cosmetics with SPF!), and because you’re a good little anti-aging
mastermind, you repeat every two hours just like it says on the packaging, right?

Puh-lease—enough with these unrealistic beauty expectations! Sure, you could coat
that gooey stuff right over your makeup and kiss your contouring goodbye, or you could
simply don any of these stylish summer hats to shade your radiant (and perfectly
highlighted) complexion from the sun’s harmful rays.
