Raquel Allegra
Raquel Allegra first gained a following for her deconstructed t-shirts while working as a sales associate for Barney's Beverly Hills. In creating the shredding technique that has become synonymous with her namesake label, full length webbed cocoon shapes evolved out of laborious experiments with oversized vintage shirts, and brought elegance to the once, basic tee. The ethereal and informal beauty of the pieces garnered her instant admiration worldwide. 2009 marked a maturation for the brand as the collection expanded to include richly textured pieces in deerskin, linen, cashmere, and even French lace.
