Givenchy
Started in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy, the house of Givenchy began as a monument to conservative, elegant dressing. He introduced (simultaneously with Balenciaga) the revolutionary sack dress, as well as 'Givenchy’s Little Black Dress', famously worn by Audrey Hepburn. Now, several decades later, the brand is still known as a pillar of French style, but the house has taken on a more gothic sensibility, thanks to the vision of Ricardo Tisci, who lead the label for over decade.
